Field trip
Today, Aran is leaving snowy and icy Boston for the Azores. Aran is heading there to study the veined squid, Loligo forbesi. This is a deep-water, commercially and ecologically important squid that reaches nearly 1 m in length. The project's main goal is to test whether these squid detect sound. Secondarily, we will examine options for fixing behavior tags to these squid. Keep posted. We'll have lots of pics of the progress!
