Our first day on the water was, according to the weather forecast, to be the best for the next few days. So we headed north in search of the melon-headed whales. But it was not to be. Instead, we saw many bottlenose dolphins (
Tursiops truncatus), in addition to several spotted dolphins (
Stenella attenuata).

The most notable sight of the day was this frigate bird, which, when seen, was in the midst of devouring a tasty morsel of fish.
